l may be receiving an inheritance in a few months but l am on SSl and Medicaid.l do not wanna lose my benefits.l intend on using the money to purchase a home and l know that under SSl guidelines l can own a home but what l wanna know is this:Will the cut my benefits off for the months that l have the money before l buy a home.And most importantly, will l have to reapply to get back on benefits or just have them reevaluate my case.

Are you talking about disability income ? If you are , l believe you will be fine . an inheritance isnot not earned income .

That may happen. You should call Social Security and ask since according to the regulations, you no longer qualify for SS l if you have more than $2,000.
