l had a stroke a few months back and my wife has undergone 4 cancer surgeries in the last 6 months. l would like to consolidate bills to make things easier, but credit rating is shot. looking for a loan of about 40kcould make pymts of 1000.00 per month. if anyone out there knows anyone that can help, l would be grateful for the info.
the issue is not all medical. l have other outstanding bills that need paid. ie car payments and such. l want consolidate everything

Pay ur medical bills up to 1,000 / month.
They will not come after u if u r making an effort to pay.
The hospitals that l dealt with tried to finance me for only a year. l said HA! l made my best effot to pay & in 3 years everyone was paid in full. Some even wrote off the last 3 months or so.
Pay them what u can, they will not come after you. They r pretty humane. Pay every single one something each month at the same exact time each month. This prevents them from sending to collection.

if you have a 401k, you can borrow against it and pay the interest back to yourself. Only do this if you're reasonably sure you will be employed until you can pay it back or you will be hit with big taxes.

Other option might be home equity, but harder to get if you're low on credit scores.

Finally how about cash value life insurance?
