l was self-employed & made slightly less than $10,000 in 2007 as a freelancer.l have a 1099-MISC from my temp agency with my total earnings under box 7, ''nonemployee compensation.'' No wages were withheld.

l live in Brooklyn & work in Manhattan.

l know what l need to about the Federal tax forms l need - just curious about the city and state forms.l had an extension through Oct. 15th - does this apply to state and city taxes as well?


(Yes, here l will acknowledge that I am an unworthy idiot because:

1) l did not PAY the estimated amount back when l should have (4/15)

2) I am asking on the last day l have to file (scared out of my mind at my fines)

3) I've never paid for taxes before, only have used the 1040EZ & got a return in the past

4) l did not think about state or city taxes before now)
