is it offencive to send money thro post overseas

Offensive? No. Risky? Yes.

why would it be offense to send money via the post office
(it would not be good idea as if you are sending cash that is)
the receipent can tell you they never got it (when they really did)
but you can use a international money orders instead

It is not safe! In other countries they might open the person is mail and they will never get the money you send! It is not like here in the US where that is against the law! It would be very foolish of you to send cash in the mail!

no, it is not. But, u need to be careful if even the postal carriers know there is money in there they might 'open' ur letter & remove ur cash.. & cash is not traceable. had that happen to me, my parents r from england & send money for Christmas & we got the cards, all sealed up 'again' with tape & the money was taken out. Merry Christmas huh! And another time while my husband was overseas he send stuff home to us & they opened the box, unwrapped the blanket & took out the goodies, including a gold bracelet & wrapped up the blanket again, put it in it is zipped up plastic bag & wrapped the box again.so, if u can send a check, do it. You can cash checks at certain banks over here, l do at wells fargo.hope this helps. or a money order. that is safe.hope this helps
