l was offered a settlement on a credit card account that l have. l have been reading that it is best to send in a Pay for Deletion Letter to the collection agency before sending any payment. They are asking for the full settlement amount by October 29th. l have the letter typed already, but is it better to fax the letter to them or mail it?

Best to mail it certified, requesting a signature. That way you have proof of receipt. Good Luck!
