My mom opened up an account with a bank. This bank claimed she had no products with them and owed them anything. Three years later out of the blue, they claim that she had a credit card with them that is in collection since 1997?!?!? Mom has no income ( she has a widows pension that comes in monthly barely 400$) and she hasserious health issues where and she is unable to work. Mom needs her medication in order to function and without it , she falls in a life threatning situation. What can she do?

if this bill is from 1997 the sol has expired and the credit company has no leg to stand on and tell the bank not to touch her money!!!
