Get caught up is better. With bad credit due to late car payments, you probably wo not qualify for another loan anyway.

Catch up. If you trade in your interest rate will be higher and you wo not get very much for your car. Plus the one you already have will be paid off sooner. In this economy its better to own your car free and clear.

why do not you try calling them and asking if they can roll the 2 payments over to the end, and just pay finance charges for the 2 months, that will save you a lot of money and get you current
