do the poor for donation really get the money or is it like a scam. Im just being curious also for the saving the polor bears donations do they really use that money to save or do the people just take the money and use it on there company???

usually most take about 10% of your donation for their company the rest does go for the cause if it is a legit business

l do not give to chariy. l used to until l saw too much corruption when l volunteered at a no kill animal shelter.



It broke my heart when l saw children give their Christmas & birhtday presents to the shelter only to have the Director feather her own big fat nest egg & take charity sponsored trips to Best Friends in Utah. Why should children finance her goodies? Even her own personal pets were designer dogs from breeders!


She was eventually fired for spending more than she fund raised.

No more giving to the fat cats who scam charities.

l NEVER contribute to ANY charity solicitaions over the phone. l do it through work or my church. Although it is still not guaranteed, it is 99.99% safer.

Unfortunately,many use a large portion of the donation for operations, like raising more money. There r good one however. You will have to do ur research. Make sure they r legit under IRS 501(c)(3) or u wo not be able to deduct ur contribution.

Those change boxes at convenience store checkouts? Is there the IRS code that identifies them as a tax deductible charity?

Ask for a complete documentation package about their charity. If u get one in the mail, review it thoroughly. If u don't, guess what?

Save the polar bears? We can save them by leaving them alone to their own land.

You have to study the organization that you want to donate to. Some do a fabulous job with their money - honorable and respectable, and others are a total scam.
