Im 16 and l have a saturday job where l get paid in cash and sometimes l give money to my mom to put in my bank. and when l got that thingin the mail that tell you how much you have l was down 40 dollars.

And l asked my mom and she said that they took the money out of my account on accident? Is that possible? l mean we have money but well l think we kinda live paycheck to paycheck so idk if she did take it?

Idk it stresses me out and makes me mad that she took my hard earned money. l have a lock box that l keep my money in should l just save it in that or should l still give it to her?

Gave Birth to you, before u receive the job she gave u & still would give u free room & board. When u was not working ur mother took care of you, gave u medicine when u was sick, change ur diapers when u was a baby sweetheart l think u too r even with the 40 dollars but if u r really worrying about the money then just confront her about it with ur feelings instead of us & then leave it alone because she must really need it for the bills in house or just forgot to deposit the $40.00 anyway Take Care

If they do make a mistake which could happenbut unlikelyor they usally find it at the end of the day.seems that mama is spending ur money,you dont need to have an account with mama if she is gonna spend it ,but l know u being 16 u have to have her on ur account.Look at ur statements & see if the deposits match with what u gave her,or call them & ask them ,make ur own deposits but if she is spending it it dont matter if she is depositing it or not,tell her to take u to the bank & let u find out what up with ur missing money,see what she says.

If your mum did need to use your money and if she is having financial problems think ow incredibly bad she feels , l know you have worked hard for this money but she really must have needed it ,in future bank the money yourself and try to forgive your mum trust me she feels a lot worse than you think.

Its sad you cant trust your parent. With the low interest rates banks pay l would just use your lock box at home. You will come out a head if your mother is taking money from your account.

First thing is first, if ur mom takes ur money & depoists it into a joint bank account then there should be a depoist slip saying that she depoists the money. Is this a checking account or savings account. The only way that the bank will take any money out of ur account is if u yourself take the money out or if u r overdrawn. If l were u l would keep the money u make or go get a separte account. You can also go to the bank yourself & find out, because if u r in a joint account u can access everything ur mother can. l would still confront her about it, maybe she took it & forgot to put the money back in it before u knew it was gone. l would consider either keeping ur money or getting a separte account. l would still ask her about it. You do not just not have the money u put into the bank. Hope this helps!

l do not want to judge ur mom, but first, if she is one of those good moms, she will feel guilty for doing (taking ur money without permission) it, & will find a way to return it back. But as a good child, that l understand my family r living with paycheck to paycheck, l would just try to understand her & let go my hard earned money & forgive & still love my mom. Anyway, they hard earned money is also spending for my needs too. At least l helped them a little for that money. Anyway, l would rather save money my own next time, so if ever she needs money & ask me, this time l know & l do not have to suspect her everytime.

l would not fret over 40.00. think of it this way later on in life u will look back & think to yourself 40.00 hell l can drink that away in a few minutes at the bar. that is barely enough to go to a movie theater & get some popcorn & a drink on a two person date. not even a tank of gas in my car. etc.
it is only 40 dollars. is it worth stressing over? they have probably given u more than that over ur life time.
have ur mom set u up ur own savings account. do not be surprised that if one day they come to u for money. there will be a day when u go to them for money.
