Explain you have lost your job and they can put the loan on 'hold' for you. It is quite common and easy to do but the agents do not like doing it because they are paid commission on what they collect. Be pleasant but firm.

hey, l know what u mean, me and bf did this, but we broke up so def cant pay mine back.
you need to be honest and keep them informed, if you avoid them or blank them u will end up in my position and have dbt collectors knocking!!!!
they are usually understanding if u have a good reason not to pay, and not havin a job is a good one!!!! lol

Try offering a nominal payment of a pound or something - this will show you're willing to pay it. If they get stroppy, inform them that u r going to visit Citizens Advice & have a financial statement drawn up, this will then mean that they get very little per week.
It normally shuts them up & gets them off ur case for a while.
I've dealt with provident before for a client, & sent off financial statements to them - now they have the debt paid back at £1.00 a week.
If u need anymore advice email me :)

provident take a realistic view and understand that things dont always go according to plan.you are however expected to make your repayments everyweek, there are no extra charges for missed or late payments on a cash loan. however your ability to get further credit maybe affected.

speak to your agent or telephone 0845 300 1757 or go online to provident.co.uk

Create an expenditure form explaining ur income & outcome & they will see from this that it is impossible. Let them know u r eager to find work as this wil go in ur favour.
On ur wexpenditure form include everything such as clothes travel etc. If u live with ur other half & cannot claim, use their earnings on the form & show that they r completely taken up.
In all honesty tho if u r living with ur other half they should be sharing the burden with u by reducing their payments & allowing u to pay something.
What would u do if ur other half was in ur situation vice versa?

When u say u do not want negative comments l assume that what u mean is u do not want anyone to tell u that u have entered into a contractual agreement to pay back money that u have already spent ??
These people saying the collector is going to be understanding r living in cloud cookoo land. The Prov make their money by selling defaulters to debt collection agencies. The best thing u can do is tell the guy u do not have the money & get a job quick.
£300 borrowed over three years even at 50% APR can only be £13/14 a month & if u cant afford that u have bigger issues in ur life !!!
