l am 17 and l spend my money like crazy
every time l get some money l feel like l have to spend in right away
my debit card accounts always seem to be empty

tell me what l should do to make me less compulsive about spending

set aside some money each week or whenever you get money and put some in savings and some for spending. See how much you can save and stick to only spending what you have put back for spending money. Then later, in your savings, you will be able to buy something really nice!

If u work, have ur checks direct deposited.. have the bank only put so much into ur debit card account, & the rest in a savings account..then stay out of the savings account. if possible at ur bank, have the savings account only accessable by going into the bank, that way u wo not be tempted to transfer funds online..

If u have less in ur account, u will have less to spend..

If ur money comes from ur parents.. maybe u can work out a similar arrangement where they only transfer part to ur debit account...otherwise u will have to do it yourself.
